Minor Project 2- A few months into my first semester, I decided I wanted to carry out some stop-motion experiments. I felt I was getting lost within the research for my major project and wanted to work on something creative where I could be imaginative but would also challenge me. I'd only done a little stop-motion before so this was a bit of a struggle for me but I had a lot of fun learning the process and was really happy with my outcomes.
I wanted to focus my animations on a character which I decided to make by hand by sewing felt, stuffing and wire together to create small characters which I developed over the project and got better at making. I created stop-motions of the characters doing tasks such as climbing up a chest of drawers or waiting on a friend. It was interesting working out how I could manipulate the character and how I could create professional outputs using my limited resources.
I created my animations using Adobe Premiere Pro and an application called Stop Motion Studio.
